have a 2018 half ton..gets nearly 18 mpg.. in tx i go usually over 80.. love the truck.. best ride i've ever had..no problems , just over 32k.

I have a 20kw Generac and found a 500 gallon propane tank for $300 plus it had nearly 100 gallons. As a backup for long term outages I have 1,500 gallons of diesel which runs me entire house on a 10kw military surplus generator.

Chevy trucks are junk. I wouldn't pay anything for this chevy. Ford power stroke diesel 7.3 is best way to go

Mate, the car is designed by Germans. 75 mph is not fast and should be almost the optimum speed for fuel economy (90-120kmh). ps. Motul is French so it would be similar to Motool.

We had a backup generatot that had a load bank as part of the gen set. Great way to load test without running everything in the bldg.

@11:02: Continuity does _not_ mean that there is nothing wrong with the wire. It can also be frayed (series arc), arcing to the same circuit (parallel arc), arcing to another circuit, or shorted to ground.

One thing I love about mil-spec equipment: Every component is _expected_ to fail and to be replaceable or serviceable.

Awesome video - thanks - i too have one and just moved so need to hook it up. But have yet to look at how to make it work with an auto start/transfer, i know that it does not hold the 60hz and requires manual adjustment based on load so that is yet another complexity. All your points about it are dead on. Looking forward to hearing what you come up with for the auto start and what transfer switch you use. I presume you will add in some maintenance self starting capability? Good luck - looking forward to part two.

1 yr after watching yours I recently got a R320 cdi.😊 The exhaust back pressure sensor has faults. I changed it, but got the same fault. Do you think the ECM needs a reset? Just clearing code does not seem to work.

Ask a trucker about the three flash turn signal. If you pay attention to a truck driver on the interstate, his blinker is on before he changes his lane and it stays on until he is established in his lane of choice. Then he turns the blinker off. The three blinker system can fool people and believing that you have cancelled your intention!!

Because you are using the diesel fuel for a Generator and not for driving you shouldn't have to pay State or Federal road tax
